I’M SORRY: WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

Over the last forty- four years of being a born again believer it’s something I’ve learned about the ability of people to change the definitions of words or terms to better suit their own personal lifestyles. One of these terms is ( I SORRY ). Any human being can say anything out of their mouth at any time for any reason but, what does it mean.

In most cases this term means; I done something I wasn’t suppose to do or, I said something I shouldn’t have said, I got caught and, I’m sorry I got caught.

Not long after I was saved I began to teach the teenage class in the Church I attended. I’ll have to admit, even as I was teaching this concept I didn’t truly understand the depth of what I was teaching. However to make my point, I gently slapped one of the teenagers on the face and then, said ( I’m sorry ) will you forgive me? Being the good person she was, she replied ( yes ). Just as soon as she said that; I slapped her again. At that; I told her again ( I’m sorry ) will you forgive me? Again she replied ( yes ). I believe about the third or four time, she hesitated, didn’t reply at all.

I told the class that the point had been made. Although I was saying ( I’m sorry ) I actually wasn’t, it was just words out of my mouth.

Since then, even I have learned something that I believe we all need to recognize. There is a vast difference in being ( sorry ) and having ( Godly Sorrow ). The Bible puts it this way< ( 2 Corinthians 7:10 ) For Godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

To give you part of my testimony; before November, 1975 I didn’t believe in or trust in Jesus Christ. On a given Sunday morning in that month and year I repented of that unbelief and I have never ( not believed ) again. Godly sorrow for anything brings an end to the act you are committing.

Many people tell you they are sorry but, more than likely they will do the same thing again, if not to you; then someone else. When you see yourself for what you truly are and, have a Godly sorrow for that then you will turn from what you are and, by God’s grace never go back to that same spot.

The Bible also says this: ( 1 John 1:9 ) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We will never be perfect, not as long as we live in this world but, as time moves on we can reach a point that we can live above certain aspects of our lives. God is very willing to forgive us from our sins if we simply confess them. However, if we are what he desires for us to be we will be ( Godly sorrowful ) for things at some point in our lives and turn from them. It’s called ( spiritual maturity ).

We watch our children grow to physical maturity so, why can’t we expect born again believers to reach ( spiritual maturity ) at some point?

What is it you can point to that you can say you have become ( Godly sorry ) for?

A NOTE TO MY PASTOR

Yesterday my pastor brought a message from ( Luke 3:15 ) And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ or not;

The whole point of the message was ( what is said about you )? Can people see Christ in you and, does that cause them to hear the voice of God the Father from your lips?

John the Baptist was a men sent to the nation of Israel. He was point them to Christ as their coming Messiah. He even made the point that ( there was coming one after him to whom he was not worthy to undo the latches on his shoes ),

I often wonder; what was the platform of John the Baptist? He basically, as far as I can see had to create his own. He just had to go out and begin to speak and proclaim what God told him to say. Actually, that is what the pastor was saying. What do you do outside of this Church? If we never take the message of Jesus Christ outside the Church, are we not sinning against God? Jesus Christ himself said; concerning John the Baptist, asking the people; what went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken in the wind? A man Clothed in camel’s hair? You see, these people heard the message of John the Baptist and went out seeking and sharing. They sought Jesus Christ and shared what they had heard. Even the woman at the well in ( John 4 ) left her water pots, went back to her village and proclaimed ( come see a man that told me all things, is not this the Christ? At that the whole city went out to see Christ>

Con sider this. Look at all the religious buildings that speak of Jesus Christ within them, all the member of all the Churches. What if every one of us went out side that building and cried like the woman at the well or, spread what the people did after hearing John the Baptist had to say; what would that do for the glory of God?

Just as John the Baptist created his platform and, Jesus dis the same at the well, creating his own platform; my pastor did the same. However, if what my pastor said, being inspired by the will of God stays confined within the walls of a building and. we never create our own platform outside that building, doesn’t that in itself quiet the very voice of God? Is it not the responsibility of every believer in Christ to create their own platform outside the walls of the Church?

Jesus Christ stood at a water fountain and shared the gospel of Jesus Christ, when he did that a woman, an individual took what he said to her city and salvation ran ramped.

The very flesh of John the Baptist or Jesus Christ is no different than our flesh. They simply allowed the spirit of God to speak and be used of them. My pastor is a type of Jesus Christ. He stands where Jesus Christ would stand every Sunday morning if Jesus was here. His responsibility is to speak with his lips of clay the very thing that Christ lays on this heart thus; is not Christ doing the speaking through him?

When I or, any person leaves a Church building and we take the gospel of Christ within our hearts and we allow our lips of clay to speak what God lays on our hearts. Is that not the very same thing the woman at the well did? The people that heard John the Baptist and went out and shared what he said?

If my pastor prays, seeks God’s will as far as his message on Sunday and, we as God’s people never allow that message to leave that building then we have committed the greatest sin of all.

John the Baptist died, standing on a principle, so did Jesus Christ. However, Jesus never ask you to die a physical death for him but rather a spiritual one. It very well might come a day when I have to die a physical death for him. that; I can’t say but right now my desire is to simply be willing to use my lips of clay for his glory, outside the walls of a building.

Do you know Jesus Christ as your savior? Have you been born again? Do people wonder if you are Christ? What do they see in your flesh? What do they hear from your lips of clay?

Lord, today; help me be an extension of my pastor as he is an extension of you. Help me to proclaim the fact you died and arose again outside of the Church building and become a powerful voice for you glory that others might be saved.

WHAT IS YOUR MOTIVATING POWER?

As I sit and listened to someone talk a while back I realized something about myself that I believe can be very spiritually revealing. The subject was how someone allowed themselves to be seen a work.

As I pondered this my mind went back to my teenage years. I’m telling you that I could out curse any person I knew at that time, I wasn’t a word, as far as slang was concerned I wouldn’t allow to come out of my mouth. Of course, when I was around my parents or my sisters, maybe at Church or someone that I knew would tell on me if I talked that way; I was as pure as the eind driven snow.

I suppose we could say that fear was the motivating factor that caused me to act differently around these people. I once worked with a man that would go out on the town a little when we would spend the night away from home on our job. Once we were at a Christmas dinner and my wife asked him how I was when we stayed out of town. He looked at me and then explained to her that we simply worked and stayed in the room at night, good boys. He knew, we might call it fear; if he made any kind to derogatory statement towards me, I had the goods on him.

In the situation we were discussing that made me think about this was one of monetary gain. When this person was at work, they were completely well disciplined and very professional but , at home or other places it was almost like Jackal and Hyde.

Can we see ourselves in this scenario? Do we present ourselves differently when we are around certain people for distinct reasons? One place I might point out would be at Church. We act certain ways before certain people to put forth a presentence that is not completely who we are. I did that for a long time in my own life.

I heard a preacher say once that; when we are alone with no one around we can see and learn who we truly are. That might work in some cases; especially if you are a Church member but, there are people that truly show who they are all the time.

In November, 1975 my motivating factor changed. I was born again and I began to be motivated by a desire to please Christ. That one point will make a big difference in how you act when you are alone, around your parents or anyone else.

If our motivation to be a certain way is dictated by monetary gain, popularity or simply prestige then we are motivated by the wrong power. Our lives are worthless without the power of the Holy Spirit that desire to control us and dictate who he desires for us to be. God, once we are born into his family wants to help us die to our selfish flesh and seek to find and do his will.

We never consider this but, that is exactly what Jesus Christ did. He completely yielded his body to the will of the Father. He even made the statement: ( if ye have seen me; ye have seen the Father ). ( John 14:7 ) If ye had known me, ye should have known my father also: and henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

The Apostle Paul put it this way: ( Galatians 2:20 ) I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me,

I, like the Apostle Paul want to have that motovation. I don’t want to live one way in front of Church people, my mom or dad and another when I’m in front of other people. I want to be motivated by the very love I have for Christ and my desire is to live by his faith, the faith of the son of God.

In my life, as in the lives of most people; often we are motovated by the wrong things, that matovation has to be changed. The change has to come from the spirit of God to be made real. Church membership, baptism and how our Church family sees us means nothing in the eyes of God. God sees who we truly are and why we do what we do. One day who you truly are will be revealed by the light of a Holy and Righteous God. Be prepared for that day. Allow the spirit of God to be your true motovation, one day you will be glad you did.

TO THE MEMBERS OF OUR CHURCHES

Most people that are members of local Churches went to their perspective Churches yesterday. Today, the day after; what spiritual change can you see in yourself today since you are in Church yesterday?

We all are imperfect people and I realize that sometimes it’s hard to notice little changes everyday but, the reality is that we are supposed to die a little more to self and become more like Christ after every message we hear, after every spiritual thing we learn.

It can be related to growing old, I can’t tell everyday that I am getting older but I know I am. The question might be; can you see spiritual growth in yourself as you look at yourself over the years?

Each Sunday as we visit Church it’s supposed to be like a visit with Jesus Christ himself. The pastor represents the very voice of Christ as he speaks. Each time we meet with him it instills a little more of him in us. There’s a verse I like: ( Acts 4:13 ) And when they say the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

Every Monday as we go out, after that visit with Jesus, it should have that same effect on us. Our Church visit should invigorate us with spiritual energy and cause us to become bold in Christ.

It says there that ( they perceived) that they were ignorant and unlearned. The truth is that we all are spiritually ignorant and unlearned until the Holy Spirit teaches us spiritual things. Actually, it’s not our pastors or Sunday School teaches that we learn from. They are instruments in the hand of God if they are so willing to be. As they speak, being led by God’s Spirit, there words show us our weak areas and then, if we are willing to submit to that word, to become more like Christ then we become less ignorant and less spiritually unlearned, become more like Jesus Christ.

Did your visit to your Church create this in you yesterday? When we consider all the Churches and religious institutions in this world today, there is absolutely no reason for the power of God not to be revealed in this world by the people that leave those institutions each Sunday? That is; unless Christ is not truly speaking or we are not listening.

MEDITATE ON THESE THINGS!

OPEN YOUR SPIRITUAL EYES

2 Thessalonians 2:2 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the sin of perdition; ( 3 ) Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

These things are openly happening today. Who is this man? How does he reveal himself? Do you realize as we live today that the only way God the Father reveals himself is through a human body. A body of a person, any person that allows him to be seen in that body of flesh?

Satan is a counterfeit, however he does the very same thing. He use any person’s body that will allow him to live within them to get his will done.

Jesus Christ was, as he lived; God in a body of flesh. Although they killed that body of flesh, they could not kill God. He lives today in every body of flesh that will allow him to live there.

We see the apposing power today seeking to quiet the very voice of God. He loudly speaks through those that will allow him to do so and, because the world so readily excepts the flesh, the voice of God becomes quiet.

If we open our spiritual eyes we can see the multiple signs of the coming of the end of this age. The age I speak of is the grace God affords us through the blood of Jesus Christ.

To make a point; we can see how our universities have changed their teaching method over the years to manipulate the way their students think instead of actually teaching in general. This fact actually started in the halls of our spiritual institutions long before it did in secular schools.

Now men have become the wisdom of the average Church and they teach apart from even allowing the very spirit of God to ever speak. The antichrist is hard at work doing his job; deceiving and closing the mouth of those that stand for Jesus Christ.

You, as an individual can still make a difference. God deals through individual people that willingly allow him to speak. Those that open their spiritual eyes and see the world for what it is and seek to be a deterrent of the will of Satan.

The Bible says ( ye must be born again ) allow God’s Spirit to live within you and loudly proclaim his will. Open your own personal spiritual eyes, speak with the power of God; revealing truth that will set others free of Satanic oppression. Be one of the few that enter through the narrow gate.

CLIMATE CHANGE

This blog and website is here for the express purpose of spiritual teaching and education. Although I listen to politics and am concerned about the future of , and direction of the country I live; my main desire is to educate people spiritually and to prepare those people to stand before God one day.

However, the issue of climate change is ever placed before us in a political manner. as I hear people debate the reality of climate change, the pros and cons; I never hear anything mentioned about how it might relate to the spiritual area of our lives. I completely understand that I can’t hear it all and therefore things might be said that I simply don’t hear. I do however hear reverends and ministers on the news at times, these men have powerful platforms in which to allow their voices to be heard but, they never mention how climate change ties to the end times that we see in scripture. It’s almost like that the fact that Jesus Christ will return to claim his bride is now, non existent.

The people that push climate change and to fact that we need to do something to prevent it are led by a spirit. The Bible says that ( he knows that he has a short time).( Revelation 12:12 ) Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and the sea! For the Devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

I realize that what is said in this verse is in front of us but; can’t we see that the power of antichrist is already at work? ( 1 John 2:18 ) Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

The power of antichrist is already at work. He knows what is coming and, he is preparing this world for destruction, The problem is, he is misleading to world and setting them up for failure.

As we look at possible climate change and, the fact that many are pushing us to be prepared for that or to try and reverse that fact; consider this, how many of those people ever mention the fact that you are going to die at some point? With or without climate change, that fact will never change. Every person on the face of this earth will die. Why don’t we seek to prepare for that day and push the mindset of Jesus Christ? Why don’t we do that?

The antichrist and, those that are antichrists, meaning they that are working for him; in most cases probably don’t even realize it; seek to push people away from the mindset of Jesus Christ. They don’t want people to be prepared for the death that they must face. They seek to make you protect this earth instead; which, is going to be destroyed at some point at any rate. It will not be destroyed but rather changed as we know it.

We act as if the Bible doesn’t mean a thing as far as what we are experiencing. If people that say they are Christian would speak out with as loud a voice as the antichrists do; just think how much power we would have? Many people that desire to argue against climate change. at least as far as it is seen today; call themselves ( Christian ) but you never hear them expound Jesus Christ and his word. They simple use science to deter what is being said.

I want to go on record as saying; climate change is coming and, it can’t be stopped, it can only be prepared for by asking Jesus Christ to be your savoir. The will happen by the hand of God and, this world will be transformed into what he originally desired for it to be, just as it was designed by him in the beginning.

Satan and those that seek to deny Christ and his transforming power desire to change the conversation from what is real into something deceptive and, they are doing a good job of it. Let’s consider, if we, as people could stop climate change, that is as defined by God; by what method would you know that it had been accomplished? If I, just as a person stand right now and say, we’ve stopped it; climate change is not coming. How can I prove that?

However, I’m standing right now and telling you that climate change is coming, as men we cannot stop the hand of God. The course of this world as laid out in scripture is coming, we seed it unfolding and it’s not in the weather patterns or sea levels. It’s in the mindset of men and the things that they claim. It’s called deception, it on the lips of many and all we can do is seek truth in scripture, prepare to meet God.

Right now his power is being curtailed by the powers of this world. He is being silenced by those that have great powers in this world but, be aware, only you can prepare yourself as an individual to face the coming of the Lord and. the fact that you will stand before him.

Don’t be deceived by the cunning devices of Satan and those that work for him. ( Ephesians 4:14 ) That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; ( 15 ) But speaking truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

The bottom line is that you will die and at some point stand before Christ. He, at this time desires to save you from that death and cover you with his blood. We al will see climate change. Those that are born again will be watching from a city that is built for us and those that are not will be hear to face the destruction of that change unless they are already with their father which is Satan.

Climate change is coming, be prepared. It has nothing to do with men but that of a Holy and Righteous God.

THE TESTIMONY Of A SEARCHING MAN

My spiritual status in this life is that I’m born again. As a believer in Jesus Christ, I understand what it feels like to be in a Church where His Spirit is so thick you can cut it with a knife, to feel the convicting power of his word as it is being preached by a man that has God’s power on his message.

Although I’m a Church member, I’ll have to admit it’s been some time since I felt that power in any Church I’ve attended. I’ve often thought maybe it was just me having too high of an expectation or maybe the spirit within me was just so dull that I couldn’t feel that power anymore.

A few weeks ago my wife went to Church and sit in the same place we always do. There’s a man that I’ve been aquatinted with for most of my life but hadn’t been a part of his life as of lately. I can say that he has lived a somewhat reckless life and that, over the years Church hasn’t been a big part of his life. He’s been coming to Church for some time now and we have spoken, just in conversation about things we remember about our younger days.

On this particular Sunday morning my wife point out to me that he had cut his ponytail off. As long as I can remember, he’s had one. After the service he shared with me that he was sick and it was causing him to lose his hair.

Almost immediately the Spirit of God spoke to me concerning talking to him about his salvation. For about six weeks I sought to find out where he lived. Between me not being at Church or he not being there I coundn’t get in touch with him.

This past Sunday he and I both were at Church, I found out where he lived and went to visit him on Monday.

AS he and I sit and talked, he assured me he was a born again believer. He also said some thing that made me realize that I was not alone in what I felt about Church services today, I guess in most Churches. He told me that the Church we attn]end is very loving. He said he enjoyed going there because of that he felt loved. He then asked me if I remembered as preacher in our past. I told him I remembered him well. He said do remember how you could go to that Church and something would just grab ahold to your heart and make you feel a need to change? I replied, I sure do.

He share with me that, although he knew Christ as his savior; he didn’t live the spiritual life he needed to. There were things in his life he struggled with, needed help with.

That help he needs is the power of God that is suppose to come forth from the mouth of the pastor of any Church. It’s the cleansing power of the Holy Spirit as we are being washed by the word of God.

Salvation is a new birth, that’s being born again. Once that takes place we must be fed spiritual food in order for that spirit to grow within us. This man is hungry for that spiritual food, the power that will help him overcome himself. we all need that.

I want you to consider this. This man sits in Church, he looks just like every other person sitting in that Church. His dress, his demeanor is no different than every other person there. However, he is starving to death spiritually. If he is not careful he will stand before God just as he is. Is that all his fault? Doesn’t the Church, the pastor have a responsibility to help and to bring about that spiritual change that a man hungers for?

AS I sit here and type the article, I can say ( I love you ). If you come around me I’ll even show you that love. With that being said; unless I feed you the spiritual food you need and willingly pay the price necessary to help you grow to being born again and, then to a mature spiritual level; is my love real?

This is just one man. This man is sick, maybe unto death. If not, he will die at some point. He’s seeking a relief for his troubled soul. One day he rode by the Church I attend, a building on the side of the road that has a sign in front of it that says Church on it. IN this man’s mind, here’s a place I can find rest for what my soul needs. He remembers a Church in his past, a pastor that preached a message far beyond the word ( love ), a message that reached inside of a man and had the power to bring powerful change in a man.

As I sit and reasoned with a man I call friend, I questioned his salvation. I and him if he knew for sure he was saved. While I am not a judge of any man, I am concerned for every person, especially as it relates to their eternal destiny and how they will stand before God.

Therefore, I shared my testimony with him. I told him that in March, 1970, I went to a revival meeting inn the same Church he was speaking of. This was just a years later and they had a different pastor. When invitation was offered I went down to the alter. The pastor ask me if I were saved? I replied. no. Basically speaking he showed me scripture and I made a profession of faith. I shared with this man that I actually left that Church just as I went in, nothing changed in my life. Every part of my life was the same other than now, I could say I had made a profession in Christ. I also shared with him that in November, 1975 I went down to another alter in another spirit filled Church. This time under great conviction. When I knelt at the alter, no person came to me but, that Sunday morning Jesus Christ met me at that alter and since that day my life has never been the same. The spirit of God moved into my heart and I was born again, old things passed away and all things became new.

I believe there are people in every Church, the Church I attend that are hungry for that power that they are not seeing or feeling. It’s almost just like a country. The people in a given country are seeking for great leadership, they hunger for leaders that truly care but, the leading class simply puts forth a false premise, that class only allows their own mindset to be revealed and we continue down the same dark path.

We need, the Church needs, I need the transforming power that comes from the spirit filled men and messages of time gone by. When we think the love of this world is good for us, we are deceived, truth is what we need and power to be transformed into a spiritual giant for Jesus Christ. The Bible says in ( Exodus 32:6 ) And they rose early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

If you will read this account, we see that Moses was up on the mount meeting with God and, he delayed his return. Therefore the people made themselves a idol to worship. Look at what Aaron said in ( verse 5 ) And when Aaron saw it, he built an alter before it; and made a proclamation, and said, to morrow is a feast unto the lord.

Moses here can be a type of Jesus Christ. Right now Jesus is a t the right hand of God, he has delayed his return. Have we made Church our God? Have we idolized the building above the true and living God because of the delay of Christ’s return. These people offered ( burnt offerings, brought peace offerings; but not to the true and living God.

Aaron was the high priest, he succumbed to the voice of the people, have not our pastored made the same mistake? Aaron should have stood and proclaimed with power, he will return and stood for the righteousness God God put instead he yielded to the will of the people.

There are men, just like this man I’m speaking of, searching for something, many times they don’t even know for sure what it is. A Church on the side of the road should always be a place to find the power and security of Jesus Christ, a place where the man stands behind the pulpit and lays all he has on the alter, knowing that Jesus Christ could return at any minute and allow God’s spirit to speak to the hearts of men trough his body of flesh.

Can I show you something that I believe relates to what I’m saying? ( Acts 8:31 ) And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. Here we see a man from Ethiopia; reading scripture from ( Isaiah 53:7-8 ) This man reads this but doesn’t understand what he’s reading. Peter, being; just another man took the same scripture and ( preached unto him, Jesus. ( verse 33 ) We see that Peter ( opened his mouth ) The mouth of a man is a powerful tool. how do we use ours? Peter used his to proclaim truth as revealed unto him by the spirit of God. This act brought about salvation in another man and we see where he was baptized.

In man’s search for truth, we need other men to speak to us. Aaron, because of fear or some form of weakness, maybe even lack of faith fell to the voice of other men.

Lord, this world is headed to destruction. Help me to be always willing to speak truth and that as you reveal it by your spirit. Help me to give myself completely for the cause of Christ, holding by nothing for you and your glory. Help me to be willing just as Philip was to go and share the gospel of your glory. Please touch all of our pastors, help them to realize the tremendous responsibility you have laid on their shoulders, to speak as you direct and not as pleasing men. The very souls of men is in the hand of us that are willing to stand behind pulpits and even do websites to proclaim the words you would have us say. Lord, help us to give our Churches back to you in every respect that those buildings might truly be houses of spiritual fulfilment and spiritual awakening. That men might truly be able to be transformed by your spirit that moves within them. Help us to go outside that building and share what we have in our hearts that the power of God would be throughout our land. Help ever born again believer to become and share what other men are searching for, open the eyes of the spiritually blind by the healing of their soul through the words that come forth out of our mouth. Help us, like Philip to take any verse and preach Jesus Christ.

All this always completely for your glory—- AMEN

Being Me

There’s a couple of quotes i’d Like to use that i’ve heard over the years; one of them even made by me.

The first I’ve is from an evangelist as he sit playing a piano. He suddenly stopped and made this statement. If you knew me like I know me, you’d get up right now and leave this Church. You wouldn’t listen to a word I have to say. We all laughed and he began to play a little more on the piano. The song he was playing and going to sing was ( He touched me ). In just a few seconds he stopped again and said this: however if I knew you like you know you, i’d get up and leave also.

The second is more of a story about me. I was speaking in a Church one and trying to make a point about how God can change people but, all we use to be is still within us. We just have to choose to whom we are willing to follow. I walked out into the congregation and made this statement: I use to curse worse than anyone you ever heard. These was no curse words known to man that I wouldn’t use. I want you to know, as I stand here and preach this message: I still have all those words within my head, I can still curse just like I use to. I’ve just made a choice not to speak that way because my desire now is to be pleasing to my Lord. I told those people in that Church, if you like I can say them now, you want to hear them? Of course they all laughed and we moved on.

The point that I, and the evangelist was making is we are sinners and just as ungodly as any other person on the face of this earth. It’s simply a choice of we decide we want to be pleasing to.

The Apostle Paul put it this way in ( Romans 7:15 ) For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. Now, if you look on down to ( verse 24-25 ) he says this: O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? ( 25 ) I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Within this, I see myself and the struggle we all have with sin. I thank God through Jesus Christ for his tremendous love toward us and his unwavering forgiveness. Like the Apostle Paul I strive to kill my flesh daily but often fail and sin takes over. It’s a continual battle. As I said, I use to curse terrible however, as I not seek to walk in God’s spirit I often tell people that when I began to think, mind you, just think curse words I realize it’s time for me to humble myself in prayer and ask God to help me fight back my sinful thoughts. If I go as far as actually say those words, shame on me when that happens.

What I’m going to say here is something I know I battle with and I also believe that all people that are saved do as well. It’s common to all of us. I know I don’t like for people, know that I’m saved to see or think of me in any way other than Godly. Often we don’t even like to admit that as part of our testimony. I see this as a detriment to our spiritual walk especially towards our children and grandchildren.

My children need to see Jesus Christ living within me and not my sinful self. That also goes for our husbands, wives, friends and co- workers. At the same time we need to be perfectly willing to tell them how we use to be before we were born again and made the choice to allow the Spirit of God to control our lives.

Very often we come across as ( holier than thou ). This especially to the people that know us well, like our children. The people that know us and are around us the most are going to see us at our worst and best, When we act as though and talk as though we are above sin then allow that part of us to be seen; what then do our children read into what they see and hear?

I heard a true story once from an evangelist that actually seen this happen. He shared with us how that a teenage girl came down to the alter one night of a revival he was holding to pray. He dad was a deacon in that Church and her mother was well respected. When they seen their daughter go to the alter they went to pray with he, one on either side of her. When they knelt and touched her she jumped up and said: don’t come pray with me, I know how you live at home I don’t want you praying with me. These two parents desired for people in Church to see them one way but never thought about what people really thought about them by what they were really acting out, especially their daughter.

My desire is to live a life that glorifies my Lord and Savior but, I never want to come across as a person that is perfect by any means. The Bible says to confess your faults one to another. ( James 5:16 ) It also says there ( and pray one for another ) after that it says, ( that ye may be healed.

When we willingly confess our sins; openly let people know our weaknesses, those same people pray for us. This works together to bring about spiritual healing of those weaknesses. When we try and hide those sinful habits, we are deceived into thinking no one knows about them when all it’s truly doing is making our spiritual walk weaker before those around us.

To all that might read this; I want you to know just how weak I am, how much I need your prayers that I might become all God wants me to be, living above my weak frail flesh.

My sinful being is not who I desire to be. My desire is to walk as Christ walked and be a spiritual giant for the glory of God. ( I must decrease and allow him to increase in me).
